Heres just a few examples from our satisfied customers:

"...We really enjoyed the service, thank you, and would most certainly use it again when (not "if") we return.  The tips were wonderful and saved having to have a pile of travel guides and brochures.

Our only criticism was some of the music which drove us scatty!  But that is a difficult subject to get right for all the people all the time through a rnge of ages."

Good luck!
Best
Julian

PS. And congratulations on winning the Rugby World Cup!  A close shave in the final dying minutes, but you got here in the end.

Hi,
My name is Alon reshef , from Israel  .
I'm traveling with my Family in NZ for almost a month driving on Apollo Motorhome AND using the tourism Radio each and every day.
I found it to be excellent guider while traveling in NZ. Hearing the background and history for each point of interest we are crossing is very interesting and help you to focus while choosing the next activity , accommodation and where to eat.  In short , you have excellent and fascinating application - THANKS
Alon reshef, Israel

“Tourism Radio is a fantastic concept.  We loved it and would never travel in New Zealand without it.  It actually made our trip.  It was like having our own personal tour guide with us all the time.
We found out about it at the Brisbane Travel Show and it was the best $39.00 ever spent.  You had the feeling you had made friends with the people.  Used to have a joke when “Jane” came on and she’d say Jane here and we’d both say “HI Jane”.

It told us to visit so many places that we wouldn’t have known existed: lookouts, waterfalls, points of interest even how far to walk from the car park to get to the destination.
One of the highlights of our trip was the Kauri Museum near Dargaville.  If Tourism Radio hadn’t told us what was there and how good it was we probably would have driven past and not taken the little detour.

The choice of music was great and covered all types of easy listening music.   Such a professional service.  The radio was at our car hire office when we arrived and they supplied a postal bag so that at the end of our trip we just had to drop it in to a post shop.

We had a couple of Helicopter tours booked during and trip and felt really comfortable when Tourism Radio mentioned these companies when we were coming into these towns.  We thought if they were endorsed by Tourism Radio they had to be a reputable company.

Funny story when we were driving in to Whangarei (which I pronounced Wangaree) we didn’t realise that the pronunciation for WH in New Zealand is F and nearly turned around thinking that we had gone the wrong direction then realised it was the Maori pronunciation.

We think the Kiwis do everything so well (even SPORT I admit) and Tourism Radio is just a another thing to add to the list.  We loved the way the Maori culture is embraced by the Tourism Radio people and feel it’s a shame the Aussies can’t be the same about our aboriginals as they have a very colourful history as well.  Tourism Radio pointed out much of the Maori culture and history that we didn’t know about and we really appreciated hearing and seeing all these points of interest.

This trip was for our 40th wedding anniversary.  We are both Aussies but met in NZ when I was 16 and Don was 19 on a youth group tour.  We hadn’t been back in 42 years to the North Island.  Actually had our first kiss in Hamilton all those years ago and repeated it in the Cathedral of the Waitomo Caves on this tour.  The whole tour group cracked up and took our photos.

We absolutely love New Zealand and plan to come back next year and booking our Tourism Radio will be one of the first things done.  We have recommended it to everyone over here who is planning a trip to New Zealand.

Thanks again for such a great service.
Kind regards
Carole Plant, Australia

My husband and I thougt the Tourism Radio Guide was brilliant.   We had trouble at the start of our trip and could  not get the device to work.  But after a phone call to the company, they organised for another kit to be posted to our caravan park where we had planned to be in several days time.   The new machine arrived and this still did not work.   We discovered there was a blown fuse in the cigarette lighter of the vehicle, which was why the unit was not working.   Staff from Tourism Radio contacted us to ensure that the new machine was working.   I apologised profusely as the fault was ours as the staff had asked me to check that the light was on in the cigarette lighter and I thought it was.  So of course once my husband investigated further, we realised the problem was with us (or his wife).

Once working, we found this to be really informative.  We enjoyed listening to the history and useful information on all aspects of tourism for New Zealand.   We didn't need to be referring to maps and booklets all the time and it was excellent in that we were prepared for moving off the road for any sight seeing lookouts that were looming ahead as we needed a bit of extra warning with driving our six berth van.

It is a really great concept and the service from the teaam at Tourim Radio exceeded our expectations.

Thanks again
Jannice Smith

“We had not heard of Tourism Radio prior to our holiday and had we not rented a Kea we would have probably missed out.  I found the unit easy to use and invaluable in making our holiday more special.  In particular the references to attractions and must do’s gave us many more options that we first thought.  The history on the some of the towns was excellent.  The top 10 holiday park reference was great with all but our stay at the Top10 at Napier being very enjoyable.  A couple of the places we stayed were not aware they were being promoted by Tourism Radio.   Again thank you for making our fantastic New Zealand adventure even more enjoyable, I would highly recommend the use of your device to any tourist”.
Terry Widdicombe, Australia

“We would like to congratulate the company on a wonderful tourism tool,  we have recommended it to several people along the way.  We found it very easy to use and very informative - WHAT A GREAT IDEA, it also saved a lot of forward planning as we found ourselves just following suggestions on the tourism radio.  Our only suggestion would be to include business cards to give to other tourists and leave at accommodation places.  Thank you once again”
Warwick Martin,  Australia

“We had a fabulous time in NZ and your Tourism Radio was just fantastic.   I was born in CHCH and my partner was born in Auckland, but we both now reside is Australia.   Even though we both come from NZ we learnt so much about the place, its history and info about each place that we visited. The other couple that travelled with us were amazed and we all loved the music.  I have already suggest your radio to our friends, when they visit your country.  Thanks for every thing it was well organised and I hope they get a similar system in OZ”.
Kit, Australia

I am so glad to get your email.  I have been meaning to email you and say thanks to you and your team for making our wonderful trip to NZ even better.  It was great to be informed about the areas we were approaching, both historical and the attractions within the area.  Certainly the best value for money we spent in NZ.  As far as the device goes it was easy to install and there were no difficulties whatsoever in logging into the GPS via the radio.  Congratulations to the team and I really believe that it is something that should be available for travellers within Australia, so there’s a thought!!!!   Cheers to you all.
Kitty Burrett,  Australia

“Thanks for your email. Yes we really thought Tourism Radio was 100% and we enjoyed the music also. I had done a pretty detailed itinerary but you spotlighted items that I had missed and we found we could turn off in plenty of time to visit. We're feeling a little jet lagged having only been home two days but are still living NZ! What a wonderful country you have”.
Trish,

“Thanks for your email - met up with the clients on their return to the UK and they were pleasantly surprised with how good the Radio Guide was - they weren’t sure what to expect but they would certainly recommend to others and so will I - and you can’t get much better than that!   I came across your product whilst I was booking a camper van for other clients who are about to leave next week - I’d not heard of the system before so perhaps you are missing a trick for those clients renting cars from the UK - most car rental companies from here just want to sell their sat nav product”.
Kind regards, Chris, England.

“Would like to say that we thought the radio was absolutely fantastic!!   We had about 20 road maps and tourism booklets to look through, but with the radio on, we were able to look at other sites that sounded really interesting over the radio - ones that weren't in the tourism books (or clearly stated) and really showed some beautiful hidden places around the south Island.  Also, when the chime went and announced a tourism spot was coming up, it gave plenty of warning so we could slow down and look for the turnoff, before hitting the actual signs on the roads and having to slow down quickly or even quickly decide whether we wanted to go and see or not.   We had the radio on, continuously through the whole trip !  Thank you for making it a special family trip “!
Kerry Cummins, Australia

We thoroughly enjoyed having our radio guide for the four weeks we have been in the South Island of New Zealand.  Your information about the towns and areas has been fantastic.  I did quite a bit of research before we came but need not have spent so many hours doing my research as it was all on the radio guide plus much, much more. We also enjoyed the easy listening music - good choice of songs by you.  We plan on coming back to tour the North Island of New Zealand next year and will definitely book a radio guide then.  Thank you very much.
Cynthia Hughes

"TOURISM RADIO IS GREAT! And I would recommend it to everyone driving around NZ. We used it all the time. We were also travelling with friends in another camper and found that when we put the transmitter in the back of our camper and they followed us, they could pick it up quite clearly too, which meant both families were hearing the same thing at the same time and it made for an easy holiday. The variety of music was brilliant – the kids and I sang our way around NZ – so happy and carefree. We stopped at many of the points of interest and loved to hear about the history and information on all the regions and towns. These are things we would have probably not know if we didn’t have the radio. It was good to hear from a few presenters rather than just one.  Some of the ads repeated a few times over the two weeks (like the Hot Air Balloon ride from Ch Ch) and these were a bit annoying, but that’s advertising!

Suggestion – I don’t know how this would be done, but it would be nice to hear some up to date news every now and again. We found ourselves to be pretty isolated from current affairs, however, that has an upside as well!?

All in all – Tourism Radio definitely helped make our holiday."
Tanya Hawes, Queensland, Australia

“I enjoyed having the unit in our mobile home. We had it on most of the time and looked forward to what was said about places as we came to them. I have spoken positively to friends and work colleagues of our experience with Tourism Radio, we thought it was well worth having and would use it again”.
Rob Emmitt, New Zealand

“In short we loved it! I kept a blog to keep all our friends back in Canada informed and lauded your service too. It was a great value and extremely informative! I certainly do not regret in the slightest hiring the Tourist radio Guide”!
Alan Aubut, Canada

“It was fantastic. Far exceeded expectations and really added to the value of the holiday, would recommend to everyone and happily be a good reference. Thanks for making our holiday that little bit more special”.
Mark Cooper, Australia

“I would like to thank you all at Tourism radio for the great service whilst we were in New Zealand..
We all found the music great, and the information Fantastic, we did not turn tourism radio off during our travels.
We would have no issue recommending this service to anyone wanting to travel in your great and friendly country..
We had a great time, and hope to visit again soon and when we do, Tourism Radio will be the first thing we book…”
Peter, Australia

Hi Karen, this was our 3rd visit to NZ and our first experience with Tourism Radio. We found it really good - the only down side was when it lost signal and we had to re-set then we had to listen to the welcome all over again (every time). But that was a minor hitch and mostly the info about sights was received on time (that is before we had passed a location). The music in between was easy listening. I would recommend Tourism Radio.
kind regards

“I thought that Tourism Radio was an excellent bit of kit and really helped the long road journeys pass. The information on the sights of interest was perfect. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try this, I'll be advising my sales team on it shortly and hope to put in our next brochure to offer as an option to clients with their self-drive trips around NZ”.
Aaron Jennings, United Kingdom

“The radio was absolutely brilliant, we had it on the whole 14 days from Auckland to Queenstown. Great music and fantastic insight to a beautiful country. I will recommend to anyone who is touring New Zealand. Well worth it thanks” !
Stephen & Paula Morton

“I cannot express the enjoyment and fun having the Tourism Radio Guide with us made our adventures around NZ. What we particularly found useful was the fact it told you what you were about to see not what you had just passed. It gave us brilliant recommendations of where to stop and have lunch, one in particular was the pink church we would never have spotted it had TRG not pointed it out.
We have told all our friends about it and cannot recommend it highly enough, it kept us amused not only with local facts but also with familiar songs to sing along too, a great companion on some very long road trips”.
Tony Glynn, United Kingdom

"I am sorry I haven't sent feedback earlier on hiring the tourism radios.  We absolutely loved them. We were travelling with our neighbours/friends and together we also had 2way radios and each of us had our tourism radios.  We found the tourism radios invaluable. Such wonderful descriptions and history of each city, town, areas, population, wildlife, and even places to have a cuppa and eat. And the pronunciations of names and their meanings. Your communication and service is also second to none. I totally appreciated the emails of help when I originally booked the radios.
Hope to be back in NZ next year to do the North Island. See you then.
Kind regards
Anne Mills

"We had a wonderful time in New Zealand! We were apprehensive about caravanning but decided that that would allow us to see more of New Zealand. We were very pleased with the Tourist Radio Guide because it told us where things were even before we got there. We would have missed several landmarks and sites had we not had the TRG. We even enjoyed the music that was played in between points of interest!
When the bong-bong-bong went off signalling that information about a site was upcoming- a hush fell over all of us so we could hear about what we were seeing.
We definately enjoyed the Guide and when we come back, we will again use Tourism Radio"
Cheers, Kimberly

“It was great i would recommend it to all my family and friends thanks”
Finna, Hotspring Spas Sydney

“I think the audio guide is excellent. As we drove on our own, the touring guide gives us very helpful information and the presentation is excellent. We should have developed this in Australia to help travellers from overseas and this is a good way of promoting tourism. The only thing is that our hired car cigarette lighter did not work and we missed a bit on the first day of travelling until they fixed it the next day. Anyway, this is the problem with the hire car company. I appreciate your survey and will surely encourage the other prospective travellers to contact Radio Tourism for the rental of the Tourism Radio Guide. We enjoyed our trip with the help of the Tourism Radio. EXCELLENT Thanks”
Joseph Cheung, Australia

“We found the guide entaining & informative. If we travel to NZ in the future we will certainly hire one again”
Ian & Maryann Every, Australia

“Just to let you know that we thought that your Guide was really informative and helpful. Not only did we enjoy the help, tips and suggestons that it gave - we saw a lot more than we had anticipated - the music that was played negated the need to keep jumping around the FM band trying to find something to whilie away the time whilst driving from A to B. Have given your details to a number of friends and family and would gladly recommend the Guide for anyone visiting NZ”
Dawn Gupta, UK

“The Tourism Radio Guide was fantastic, worth every penny. We found places to visit we would never have found without it. Also, the historical and other information it gave was very interesting. Thank you”
Paula and Allan Mills, Liverpool, UK

“We loved it, great idea, we saw things we might have missed had we not had it. And the music and reception was actually better than the radio stations”
Wendy

“We loved the tourism radio guide. We felt it really enhanced our trip… Our trip was a fifteen day trip around the southern 2/3 of the South Island in a campervan. My husband I are both New Zealanders and have both been to the South Island several times before. This trip our aim was to show our children the South Island so they have more of an appreciation for our own beautiful country. We also went to some places that Chris and I had not visited before. The Tourism Radio Guide was so awesome as it made out travelling more efficient and interesting and the music was great too. By more efficient I mean because as you were coming up to something or somewhere the guide would tell you about it and you could either decide to stop and investigate more or not depending on what or where it was. We also found out more about places we had been before”
The Troughtons, New Zealand

“Thankyou Karen for your recent email regarding our trip to New Zealand. I can honestly say we were so grateful we went ahead and hired the Tourism Radio. We found it so helpful and saw so many things we would have otherwise missed. It was so easy to use and taught us so much more about the history and scenic landscape of your wonderful country. We will recommend it to anyone as a necessity for a successful holiday. Thanks again”.
Jackie Taylor , Western Australia.

“just letting you know how invaluable tourism radio was on our holiday , we loved it & have recommended it to friends , it was our onboard guide that we didn’t have to feed!”
Di & Dave Earl, Australia

“We loved the idea of the GPS setting off local things to know and see. It was very good, easy to use and very informative. Burying your head and eyes continually in a map were minimised, so the trip was more enjoyable.”
Greg Whittle, Australia

“We found the info provided helped us to find things we would have missed (e.g. the toilet block by the Austrian architect , whose name eludes me at the moment.) ......overall a useful unit and would recommend it”
thanks Greg & Pauline Melbourne

“my husband and I have just finished a tour of NZ with the tourism radio. I am emailing you to congratulate you on an excellent tool to help tourists when touring your beautiful country. The commentary was very helpful, and we found a few things that my research missed by listening to tourism radio. It certainly paid for itself.....the songs that were on the playlist were great, my husband and I liked 95% of them. Again, thank you”.
Regards, Vicki Taylor.

"I have been meaning to comment on your service since our tour of south island nov 09 by campervan.you truly are in gods country, fantastic!!couldn't fault it at all.but..the best thing was tourism radio.we didn't do first suggestion but after that we did as many as we could..great..we would never have gone to most of the places you suggested otherwise.1 suggestion..more songs required..in 2 weeks we heard same songs 7-10 times, because we never turned you off!!!i have been telling everyone about it in aus.one day when we can afford it i would like to do north island using your service again.keep up the great work.would work perfectly in tasmania,,small area, with plenty..."
Tom Coulston

“We listened to Tourism radio 4-5hrs/day for 21 days... Overall loved the radio & info was really helpful. Thanks”
B Simonsen, Denmark

"We have enjoyed and appreciated the Points of Interest commentary and the music coming through this programme.  It gave us warning of the upcoming feature and the opportunity for preparing to leave the traffic to view the feature.  May I suggest that as the chimes sound to announce an upcoming feature the level of the commentary is delivered at the same level as the music..."
Peter Berry-Smith, Australia

"We just want to let you know that we had a great time in NZ and found the Radio Guide very informative and useful in letting us know about the very many tourist sites well in advance. It is extremely good value for the price. Also the commentary about the history, etc concerning the places of interest and the must see towns and cities of NZ was very informative.
We were singing its praises to people we met in NZ and will tell our friend in Australia who are interested in travelling NZ about the Guide's existence.."
Bob & Sue Dal Santo, Australia

“We travelled around New Zealand for 4 weeks, and experienced the advantage of having the Tourism Radio on board. It tells you all about culture, historic places and even helps you to find a nice café! The GPS works perfectly, it picks up the information of every point of interest on the moment of approaching. You only have to use the tourist guides as a supplement on the information which Tourism Radio gives you , it’s like you’re travelling with 2 Kiwi’s on your back seat of the car, they give you all the details of the places you visit through an entertaining dialogue. In between Tourism Radio really keeps you going with relaxing cruise-music. Thanks to Tourism Radio, with all your information you made our holiday in New Zealand a real success!
We surely recommend you to everyone; Tourism Radio is so useful, it makes your stay in New Zealand more complete!
Cheers!
Niek and Ingrid Kuijer, The Netherlands

"What a useful device this proved to be. Great music an terrific commentary on the passing scenery and attractions. We had it on 95% of the time and often stopped for things we would not have known were there...”
Annette Wiadroski

“...Tourism Radio was not only great to sing to, but also gave us interesting information about the area in which we were travelling, which we may have missed.  We certainly looked out for the seal colonies between Blenheim and Kaikoura and were rewarded with some great photographs.  We also found listening to the music for an hour at night in the campervan very relaxing...thanks Tourism Radio"
Wend & Linzi, UK

“...Kia Ora, we would like to say that we were pleased to have hired the radio as it gave us a lot of informative information about the towns we were entering...we will be recommending the service to our friends as we found it very helpful..."
Debra Ades, Australia

“...Thank you for the Tourism Radio, it was good, very interesting facts..."
Rae Patterson, Australia

“...We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in New Zealand's beautiful North Island. This experience was made all the more pleasant because we hired a tourism radio. The tourism radio provided us with a wealth of knowledge of both the country and it's people. We learnt about the history of the country, the maori people and much much more. I would definitely recommend the tourism radio to anyone who wants to tour around New Zealand. We have developed a new appreciation of New Zealand as a holiday destination. Hiring the tourism radio proved to be a fantastic decision. We also learnt how to pronounce many new and exciting place names, like Te Puke, and Whakatane.
At some stage in the future we would love to visit New Zealand again, and when we do we will certainly arrange to hire a tourism radio again. It was so handy, we picked it up when we picked up our hire car, and then simply popped it in the mail box at the airport on the way home. It couldn't be any easier!
Thank you for helping to make our holiday experience one to remember!...”
Cheers,
Wendy and Peter Efthymiou

“…Loved the concept; loved the information and relevant `history we received about the areas we were passing through; loved the fact that we were given enough time to know about places of interest before we reached them. L oved the music that was played. The set made a lot of our holiday easier…”
Thanking you,
Kathie.

“…The tourism radio was great for highlighting points of interest.
Overall I would recommend this, especially to travellers who may not have done their homework and were travelling by the seat of their pants...”
Regards
Allan

“…I knew it would be a great idea but my wife was wondering why I got it. It only took a few hours before she thought it was the best thing I'd ever got. It is a brilliant idea, the best part was that we always had good quality music to listen to, not having to scan the radio all the time and listen to scratchy stuff.
I will always look to get one wherever I go, I also think it was very good value for money and the service was great...”
Kind Regards,
David Sevier, Australia

“...We really enjoyed the use of the Radio Guide - the music and commentary were great...”.
Steve Lowe, Australia

To the Tourism Radio Team.
Many thanks especially to Hayden as the assistance he gave was extremely helpful.
We had a great time travelling around the South Island of New Zealand using the Tourism Radio Guide telling us of what interesting facts and locations we were nearing.
We will be back to N.Z in the future and will for sure looking forward to utilizing the Guide again.
Would recommend this guide to anybody who wants a great radio station as well as informative information as approaching various places.
Very happy customers from Brisbane, Australia.

"Hi, I just returned to Alaska after a great trip to New Zealand with family members. I rented your TR system for our rental car and motor home use and it was a great tool to have! The tunes were terrific too (all of us were in our 50’s) especially being in remote areas without reception. We found it very helpful having never traveled to NZ before and informing us of points of interest and history usually on the spot as we reached the area. We actually followed a lead on TR and witnessed 4 kiwi birds in the forest on a night trek/spotting trip by a researcher. It was a great experience to participate and see the birds in the wild and we would have passed the opportunity if it was not for TR...."
Patrick Wilson, Petersburg, Alaska

"Many, many thanks to Tourism Radio New Zealand for the loan of the transmitter unit. It has greatly added to our enjoyment whilst exploring this beautiful country, and we have learned a little more of your culture and history, thanks to your team. Our month in NZ has been a great success - would love to do it all again! Thanks again to all concerned"
John & Joyce Dorricott, UK

"Absolutely fantastic, would definitely recommend, would use again. Need to spread the word to others"
Jeff Cooper, USA

"Thanks you so much for the loan of the Tour Guide. It was brilliant! We may have missed seeing the Steepest Street in the World in Dunedin if not for it! It is a shame that more business’ are not aware of it, to promote it more to tourists. I know the staff at Freedom Campers were keen to know more, as was the lady at Leith Van Park at Dunedin. We gave her your details. We intend coming back in the future so we will be in touch again"
Meagan, Australia

"We really enjoyed Tourism Radio, the travel information was really good and we used it many times to see places we may well have drove past. The music was great!!"
Bruce Leask, Australia

"Thanks for your help, we enjoyed the whole time listening to the radio... It was both informative and interesting!"
Shona, Australia

"I just wanted to say how grateful we were that you waited for us. The radio worked very well all around the country and we really enjoyed all the information it contained. We sent the unit back to you on the 6/09/09 so I hope you got it back ok. Many thanks for the great service and I have told all my friends about it so that they can use it as well. It will be great to see the product in Australia some time in the future."
Owen & Delores, Australia

"... overall on a scale of 1-10 - with 10 being brilliant, we'd scored it a 7.
Cheers and thanks for letting us have it. It has made the holiday more informative. We'll definitely let people know about it and would recommend our friends get it while on holiday in NZ..."
Family Yeoh, New Zealand

"...Kia ora, loved your country, awesome people and sites. Loved your kiwi accents and darling personalities, good music mix..."
David & Bonnie Madeja, USA

“We really enjoyed access to tourism radio. The information was good and worked well and we also enjoyed the music between. Our only improvement would be an occasional "news headlines". Most people would not want on going full news, but it is nice to know whether there is something important going on in the world (In which place you could switch, briefly, to another station for further information)”
Bea Lawrence, Australia

“We thought it was great and we are recommending it to all our friends who are travelling over to New Zealand. The only suggesting is sometimes it get a bit repetitive with both songs and narrative but overall a great experience”
Wayne Wilson, Australia
