Coming up now is the Miranda Shorebird Center. The center includes a wetland of international significance. The area has over 131 bird species, including 43 waders. The area is also considered the best all-year site for watching Wrybill, with half the population migrating here each winter. The center also offers a wide range of events and education programs throughout the year. They have a series of open days featuring guest speakers and they also have a 6-day ornithological field course that starts every January.
