You are now approaching the Whangaparaoa Steam Railway. The steam engine runs on Sundays and public holidays. The ride takes visitors through farms to an entertainment area with a playground for the kids and a meeting place for adults. A man named Ted Pointen bought this property when he was 18 years old specifically to build this mini railway on it.
