This tranquil spot features beautiful gardens and a bird sanctuary, where you’ll be able to see over fifty varieties of birds, including New Zealand natives such as Keas, Teal and Keruru.
The gardens are listed by the New Zealand Gardens Trust, and extend over ten acres on the edge of Tauranga’s inner harbour … with lily ponds, fountains, and a unique collection of native and exotic trees and flowers.
There’s plenty of easy parking and you can relax and enjoy the ambience of the gardens at the terrace café, which serves freshly prepared food and great Italian coffee.
