You are now approaching AMI Sports Stadium, previously known as the Jade Stadium and Lancaster Park. The stadium has hosted sporting events from rugby to cricket, soccer, athletics and trotting. U2 and Billy Joel have also performed at the stadium to name a few. The stadium is also the home of the Crusaders Rugby Union. AMI Stadium officially opened in 1881 and today has a seating capacity of 36 000 people.
