You are approaching the International Antarctic Centre. The center is probably the closest many people will ever come to Antarctica. The center is also known as “the Antarctic Attraction” and it aims to re-create the natural surroundings of Antarctica. The architecture has been based on icebergs, ice shelves and glaciers of Antarctica. The Centre is also home to the New Zealand, US and Italian Antarctic Programmes.
