You are now approaching Porter’s Ski Area, the closest ski area to Christchurch and situated in the Craigieburn Range. There are excellent beginner facilities plus plenty of terrain for intermediate and advanced skiers. Porter’s Ski Area is home to two of New Zealand’s legendary runs namely Bluff Face and Big Mama. Big Mama is one of the biggest vertical drops at 620meters.
