You are approaching Steam Scene, a working steam museum that is set on thirty acres of land near Christchurch. A steam powered bush tramway operates on “Open Days,” and Field Days and Rallies take place here and you can expect to see traction engines, steam rollers and steam engines. All the machinery uses steam power, just like the old days. Admission is free except when there is a rally or field day.
