Coming up is Bathgates Road and EnkleDooVery Korna where wallaby expert Gwen Dempster-Schouten has reared baby wallabies since 1977, cradling these tiny creatures in warm sleeping bag-like pouches when they are bought to her by hunters. Interest in her wallaby family created such attention that she opened her enterprise to the public in October 1999, transforming the downstairs interior of her house into a look-alike trappers hut, and adding several new wallaby enclosures. On average there are around 65 wallabies at any one time at EnkleDooVery Korna and visitors may feed them pellets, photograph joeys, and yes even have a cuddle. In addition to the wallabies there are lots of other pets to see, including Fearless Felix the Ferret; possum, Spinster-Posslewaite; and Muffin, an attention-seeking miniature pony.
