You are now approaching Lake Pearson, a large hour glass shaped lake set in the heart of the Southern Alps near Arthur’s Pass. The lake is good for swimming in the summer and doubles as an ice rink in winter. Lake Pearson is also a very popular trout fishing spot during the fishing season between November and April. Remember that you need a license to fish at the lake and be sure to enquire about restrictions when you purchase your license.
