Coming up ahead is the turnoff to Mount Hutt and Methven. Mount Hutt is home to the largest ski area on the South Island. Whether you are a beginner, at intermediate level or an expert, the ski field offers an adventure for everyone. Snow season is from June to October and Mount Hutt is the first ski field in history in the southern hemisphere to open at the beginning of each season. Accommodation is available at the town of Methven.
