Coming up is the Thames Goldmine Experience, this tour takes you through an operational, 19th century Stamper Battery and into one of New Zealand’s richest goldmines. It is a self-guided tour where you can explore the photographic museum, watch a video presentation and see old steam-powered machines! The tour takes about 40 minutes and there is no need to book, unless there are over ten people in your group. The tour is open daily from 10 am till 4 pm.
