Coming up ahead is the historic Buffalo Beach. It is the famous beach that was named after a ship called the H.M.S. Buffalo. The boat was blown from Cooks Beach in a storm and wrecked, killing two crewmembers in July 1840. On the beach there is a plaque that commemorates the ship and the two sailors that lost their lives.
