Coming up on the left hand side is the Pier Hotel. The hotel was originally built in front of Fyffe House, a whaling cottage and the oldest house in town. The old foundations can still be seen there today. The hotel was built specially for the whalers and fishing fleet during the 19th century. In the space of 122 years the hotel has had many different owners and each one has contributed to the character of the hotel. The bar area is cozy with its own fire place and window seats. You can admire the old photos that cover the walls and each one tells a story of days gone by.
