You are now approaching the Weka Pass Railway and The Millhouse. The historic railway uses both vintage steam and diesel electric locomotives. Its a volunteer effort and everyone involved does their best to preserve the railways heritage. The original railway was built during the 1800s. Workmen would have moved clay and limestone by hand to create space for the track. The Millhouse shop is next door to the olive grove owned by the Clausen family. They stock a whole range of local food products and also the Athena Olive products. Try freshly pickled and marinated olives made by farm owner Phil Clausen himself.
