Coming up ahead is the Bra Fence. The purpose of the fence is to raise awareness about breast cancer and visitors have the option of hanging their bra on the fence to contribute to the cause. Alternatively they can make a donation at the Inn next door. The fence started off as just a rural spot where people started hanging their bras and has become a famous tourist attraction. It began somewhere between Christmas and New Year in 1999 when 4 women placed their bras on the fence for a reason that is still unknown. This attraction was considered controversial but survived because the reason for putting the bras up was positive.
