Coming up on the left/right is the Picton Foreshore, the I-Site Visitor Information Centre and the Department of Conservation Information Centre. The InterIslander ferry from the North Island ends its journey at the foreshore. It travels between Wellington and Picton and the journey takes about 3 hours. It has been described as one of the most beautiful ferry rides in the world. The journey is safe and affordable and about 11 trips depart per day meaning you can choose the time most convenient for you. Both of the visitor information centres will provide free information about accommodation, activities and transport in the Picton area and beyond.
