You are now approaching the Picton Marlborough Museum coming up on the left/right. The museum has artifacts from the whaling era in Picton and an old sailing ship called the Edwin Fox which has been restored. The ship was built for the British East India Company and is the only remaining ship from the original journey to New Zealand. Another old ship worth admiring is the Echo which made the journey from Wellington to Picton many years ago. To get to the ships and the museum you can also take the walking track from Picton Marina to Bob’s Bay.
