You are now approaching the turnoff for Rarangi and White’s Bay coming up on the left/right. Rarangi is approximately 9.5 kilometers from the turnoff and is found at the north eastern end of Cloudy Bay. At the northern end of the long sandy beach is a rocky mass that stretches to the side of Mount Robertson. The hillside is covered in coastal forest and along the foreshore there are pines which protect the settlement from the Pacific storms. Rarangi is great for fishing and having a picnic. North of the settlement is a glow worm cave and 2 walking tracks, one of which goes to Whites Bay, a popular swimming beach.
