Coming up on the left/right is Founders Heritage Park and Brewery. The park is a replica of a historic village and features old buildings and artifacts of Nelson. Some of the attractions to look forward to are the vintage and horse drawn transport, Dr Bush’s Windmill and the Port Nelson exhibition. The locals of Nelson decided to put together this vivid historical record which uses both real buildings and models to represent the colonial days of the 19th century. The book fair which takes place here in June each year attracts book worms from all over and is a chance to find a few bargains. Head to the café and organic brewery for a drink after a busy day.
