On your left is the turnoff for Cape Farewell, which is about 20 kilometers from this point. It is one of the less visited areas because of its remote location. The ‘Clifftop walk” joins the Cape with the beginning of Farewell Spit and offers great views of the Tasman Sea. The Heaphy track ends/starts here otherwise you can also start/end the Karamea Track at this mark. Take care as there are some unsealed roads ahead.
