You are now entering Golden Bay and are in the vicinity of the Takaka Hill walkway. Golden Bay is known for its national parks, golden beaches, arts, crafts, museums and galleries. While exploring the area you will be greeted by a changing landscape; mountain valleys, freshwater springs, limestone caves, meadows and forests. Takaka Hill walkway is made up of a series of looped tracks which link up at various points. These tracks go through open farmland, beech forests and a limestone landscape covered in sinkholes. The walkway takes between 1 and 4 hours to complete.
