You are now approaching Wainui Falls coming up on the right hand side. The falls are found on the western border of the Abel Tasman National Park. If you are looking for the shorter route to the falls, then take the path that leaves from the road going via Golden Bay. The walk takes about 45 minutes and follows the river through the bush forest. About halfway up the route you will need to cross the river using a rope bridge which is sturdy even though some choose not to cross it. The falls themselves are about a 20 meter drop into the pool below.
