You are approaching the turnoff to the Kauri Bushman’s Memorial Reserve. This small reserve is a living memorial to the bush men of the past who lived, worked and sometimes even died, in the region’s kauri forests. It also has a wonderful display of kauri trees and is a lovely place to enjoy a picnic in the shade.
