You are now approaching Pete’s Pioneer and Transport Museum. This museum has displays of transportation before European settlers arrived. The building is spilt up into three sections that demonstrate the timeline of events in New Zealand. The first wing is dedicated to vintage cars, while the second has models of bushman huts and an old blacksmiths foundry. The third exhibit is dedicated to Barry Crump, a national icon with a small theatre screening footage of past events relating to transport.
