We have an abundant birdlife and an interesting native bush with fantails, grey warblers, white eye, tomtit, tui, fernbird, bittern, hawk and more, You can also explore the Waiotoi River by canoe or the famous scenic Ngunguru sandspit. Near there is Diving and fishing from Tutukaka and loads of scenic bush and coastal walks walks. Visit "Tane Moana" the huge Kauri near Tutukaka and walk along our section of "Te Ara Roa", the long path from Cape Reinga to Bluff.
In 2010 the prestigious National Geographic Traveller selected the Tutukaka Coast as one of the top three coastlines in the world, Second equal to the Pembrokeshire coast in Wales. Enjoy it with us.
