Coming up are the Mangawhai Cliffs. This beautiful beach with a cliff top walkway leads hikers through farm and bushlands. The walk has become one of the top attractions in the Whangerai region because of the breathtaking views from the summit. From the cliff tops you’ll be able to spot a shag colony and the whole of the Hauraki Gulf. Bear in mind that the track does cross private property so it’s best to keep to the markings until the end of the journey. The start of the track is clearly marked so park outside the Surf Life Saving Club and enjoy the walk.
