Coming up is the Dunedin Gasworks Museum, located in the Edwardian engine and boiler house from the old Dunedin Gasworks. Exhibits at the museum range from stationary steam engines, coal gas production techniques, social history and steam technology. There are also displays of domestic gas appliances. The science of coal gas production is almost forgotten, but was once vital to most major cities, this museum preserves that science.
