Tasting at Bald Hills is a friendly and very informative experience. The wines Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling and a Pinot Rosé are all grown on site and are open for you to taste.

Experienced “palates” find these single-vineyard wines an interesting and unmistakeable expression of the “terroir” at Bald Hills and of Central Otago in general. Bald Hills occupies a prime position in Bannockburn, increasingly regarded as the most sought-after appellation in Central Otago.

Blair and Estelle Hunt are usually there to explain the wines and talk about the vineyard and its history and they take great pride in showing off international trophies won at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge in London in 2007 as well as a wall full of framed Gold Medal Certificates.

Large groups can be accommodated on the lawns or on the front terrace, an especially enjoyable experience on those blue-skied days Central is famous for.
