You are now approaching Waipati beach and Cathedral Caves. It's a 45min walk to the caves from the car park. The walk will take you to the beach and through ferns and kamahi to the caves. Named after an English Cathedral, they are large caverns with wide mouths that have been cut out of the rock over centuries. Be sure to check the tides before embarking on the walk because Cathedral Caves are only accessible at low-tide.
