You are approaching the turnoff to Jack’s Bay and Surat Bay. Jack’s Bay is a popular holiday spot and is known for a 55 meter deep blowhole, known as “Jack's Blowhole.” The blowhole was formed when part of a sea cavern's roof collapsed. Surat Bay was named after the sailing vessel which was wrecked on this coast in 1874. Surat Bay is a great place to look out for sea lions. Access to Surat Bay is via New Haven Road. Visitors can follow the markers at high tide to the dunes but remember to keep a minimum distance of 12 meters from the sea lions. There is also a 5 hour dune walk that starts in the area linking Surat Bay and Cannibal Bay.
