You are now approaching the Queenstown Gardens and Ice Skating Rink. The Queenstown Gardens is an attractive parkland retreat which covers the peninsula separating Queenstown Bay from the rest of Lake Wakatipu. The land was first designated as a reserve in 1867. Queenstown’s ice rink is situated on the site of the old ice rink that was built in 1966 in the Queenstown Gardens.
