Coming up is the turn-off for Beyond the Bridge Café, a popular stop-off point for those hiking or taking a kayak trip through the gorge. Owner and chef, Sonia Cameron, is passionate about old-fashioned comfort foods and country cooking, and makes everything on the menu from scratch. Housed inside a rustic bungalow surrounded by wide, covered verandahs and sprawling gardens with a sand pit for the kids, there’s plenty of room to make yourself at home. There’s also a horse-riding business onsite providing the opportunity to enjoy a Clydesdale ride or a trip on a horse-drawn wagon.
