You are now approaching Palmerston North City Library. The building is known as “the living room of the city.” Inside visitors will find a variety of different books, magazines, CD’S and DVD’s. The library is an award winning facility and is located in the city square. The building was designed by New Zealand architect Ian Athfield and the library has been operating out of the building for over ten years but there has been a library service in Palmerston since the late 19 century.
