Coming up is ahead is Foxton Beach. The town is a popular holiday destination mainly because of its beach and there are a variety of activities for visitors to take part in such as fishing, surfing, water skiing, kayaking and wind surfing. The town is located at the Manawatu River mouth and the Manawatu River Estuary is another popular spot for visitors because it is the largest and most important estuary in the lower North Island.
