Coming up is the Bluff Maritime Museum. It is situated on the Foreshore Road. Exhibits document the whaling and oyster farming industries, include the history of shipwrecks in the area and a working steam engine from the TST Awarua. The pride of the museum is the oyster boat called “Monica II” and id situated next to the museum with a replica sea bed and oyster dredges.
