Coming up is Monkey Island. During low tide, the popular island is accessible on foot. A stairway leads to the top of the island where visitors can enjoy great views of the surrounds. Monkey Island is a favourite with the children. The beach is safe for swimming, picnicking, rock fishing and wind surfing. Hectors dolphins are often seen here. Facilities include toilets and a changing shed.
