You are now approaching Pukekura Park. The park is known internationally and is found right at the centre of New Plymouth city. Here you will see a range of landscapes, including various plant collections, exotic trees, formal gardens, lakes and walking trails through the bush. Part of the park is the fernery and also the garden estate of Brooklands. The estate is home to the Brooklands zoo. Every year Pukekura Park hosts the TSB Bank Festival of Lights which takes place from mid December to the beginning of February. The park is open daily from 7.30am to 7pm and until 8pm during daylight savings.
