You are now approaching the Taranaki Aviation, Transport and Technology Museum coming up on the left/right. On the opposite side of the highway is the turnoff for Lake Mangamahoe. The museum has a large collection of items which are divided into 6 buildings. You’ll see farm equipment, various modes of transport, aircraft, printing, communication and electrical equipment. There is also a post office display, a marine section and other artefacts from the past. The museum is open from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. A well sign posted walk will take visitors around Lake Mangamahoe where you can wander through mature trees and admire the scenery from the various lookout points.
