You are now approaching Gunn’s Camp Store, Museum and Campground. Gunn’s Camp is an original 1930’s work camp. It is the last working Public Works camp of its kind left in New Zealand and was once one of several that were built for the construction of Milford Road and Homer Tunnel. The museum has a very interesting collection of historical artifacts from the pioneering days in the area as well as information on Davey Gunn.
