You are now approaching Manapouri Lake and Manapouri Village, the village has a population of around 200 people! Lake Manapouri is surrounded by the mountains of Fiordland National Park and is known as the “jewel in the crown” of New Zealand's scenic wonders. There are 34 uninhabited islands within the lake and countless bays and deserted beaches. The lake area encompasses 55 square miles.
