Coming up on the left is the Otorohanga Museum. Please note that it’s only open on Sundays. The museum is made up of 4 historical buildings. They are an 1896 police lockup, 1912 courthouse, a police office and a church building from 1908. These structures have been conserved in their original form as much as possible. Part of the collection is photographs from major events like the flood of 1958 and the development of the railway items from Otorohanga. These date back to the 1880s.
