Coming up on the left/right is the Te Kuiti I-Site Information Centre and the Trust Waikato Millenium Pavilion. The pavilion is just a short walk from the centre. It’s a small multi cultural building shaped in the form of a cross. The pavilion celebrates the local people, their heritage and their history and is open at all times. The ceiling panels are made of native New Zealand timbers and the carvings at the entrance represent the past, the present and the future. On the floor you’ll see handprints which belong to five year olds who were in the Waitomo District in 1999.
