Coming up ahead is the Waitomo Museum of Caves and the I-Site Visitor Information Centre. Next door is the Waitomo Caves Adventure Centre and close by is the Spellbound Glow-worm and cave tours booking centre. The area has many tourist cave operators and you can make enquiries at the I-Site centre. On the opposite side of the road is the start of the Waitomo Walkway. The trail goes through forest, passes the limestone formations in the Waitomo River gorge and takes visitors to Ruakiri Natural Bridge. The arch was created when a cave collapsed. The entire walk should take about 4 hours.
