Turn left for Ruakiri Scenic Nature Reserve and Bushwalk, Aranui Caves and the Waitomo Walkway. Otherwise continue on straight for Marokopa Falls, 31 kilometres from here, Piripiri caves 28 kilometres, the Mangapohue Natural Bridge approximately 26 kilometres and Marokopa Beach, 50 kilometres from this point. Marokopa Falls are a 36 metre drop and they divide the river into two fisheries. Piripiri cave doesn’t have commercial tours so if you’re going to explore you’ll need a torch and good boots because the floor cave is slippery. Mangapohue natural bridge is a limestone arch which is 17 feet high and used to be part of the greater Waitomo Caves system.
