You are now approaching Old Saint Paul’s. This was once an active cathedral and the gothic styled church was rebuilt as an architectural revival project. The entire church was constructed with New Zealand native timbers and the walls are decorated with plaques honoring those who died in World War I. Even though Old Saint Paul’s is no longer a parish it’s still used for weddings and funerals. Just two doors down from Old Saint Paul’s you’ll find Archives New Zealand - a house where all the countries important archives are kept.
