You are approaching Staglands Wildlife Park, a beautiful nature reserve and wildlife park. There are ten hectares of walkways that will take you on a journey through New Zealand’s natural heritage. You’ll hear the sounds of native birds inside the reserve as well as other animals. This is one of the best trout areas in the world so if you’re a fisherman keep a lookout for the trout in the water. Visitors are also allowed to touch and stroke the wildlife in this reserve and its one of the highlights of visiting Staglands. Visitors can bring your own food for the animals or you can purchase bird seed and other foods at Staglands.
