You are now approaching Charleston and the Charleston Hotel which is also the headquarters for Norwest Adventures. Norwest Adventures is known for its most popular adventure activity, underworld rafting which takes place in the Paparoa National Park. In the Nile River cave system you will make your way through a kingdom of stalactites and stalagmites. When you get to the lower level of the cave you meet up with an underground river and you float the rest of the way on a tube. The only light is provided by the glow worms in the cave. When you emerge from the cave you make your way down the river over mild rapids. Other activities offered by Norwest are glowworm tours and the Nile River Rainforest Train ride.
