You are now approaching the Fox River and Fox River Caves coming up on the left/right. Fox River is a small settlement which is also the start of the track to the Fox River caves and the Ballroom overhang. The track goes along the north bank of the river, across river flats and through native forest. You can explore the caves for free although in 1908 a local farmer decided he would put up a gate and charge people admission. The Fox River caves are actually 2 caves but the lower one is challenging and only for experienced cavers. The tourist friendly cave takes about 30 minutes to explore and the stalactites and stalagmites are an incredible sight.
